SERVICES INCLUDE:

Food Assistance was provided to 1,156 individuals in 2016.


SEA utilizes the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama for meeting clients' food needs. In addition, food donations are received from churches, businesses, schools, and individuals. During summer months, produce is provided by the local Farmers Markets and University of Montevallo Organic Garden.

SEA's social services are provided by licensed social workers who complete assessments, develop service plans, and provide assistance to stabilize the crisis situation. The social workers are knowledgeable of local resources and often collaborate with other agencies to better serve individuals and families in our community.

  • Water bill assistance to 173 individuals to prevent disconnection
  • Gas heating bill assistance for 22 individuals
  • Purchase of 188 prescriptions
  • Financial assistance for 96 doctor and dentist visits
